Our Mission
Our mission is to make BMTC bus travel easier for everyone — daily office-goers, students, tourists, senior citizens and occasional riders. We publish detailed, accurate and up-to-date information about every BMTC bus route in Bengaluru, including timings, stops, fares, frequency and live tracking instructions. By making this information freely accessible, we hope to encourage more people to use public transport, reduce traffic congestion and lower the city’s carbon footprint.
What We Cover
bmtctimings.in currently hosts detailed information for more than 4,400 BMTC bus routes across Bengaluru. Each route page includes:
- Bus stop list — full list of stops on the route in both directions
- Timings — first bus, last bus and sample departure times throughout the day
- Frequency — how often the bus runs during peak and off-peak hours
- Fare estimate — approximate ticket price for the route
- Live tracking — step-by-step instructions to track the bus live on the Namma BMTC app and Google Maps
- Nearby landmarks — hospitals, metro stations, malls, colleges and other useful stops along the route
- Travel tips — practical advice for daily commuters, women travellers and first-time visitors
In addition to route pages, we publish comprehensive guides on BMTC bus timings, Bangalore bus routes directory, BMTC route maps, Volvo Vayu Vajra services, fare charts, the Namma BMTC app, monthly passes, night buses and live bus tracking methods.
Who We Are
bmtctimings.in is operated by a small team of Bangalore-based commuters, transit enthusiasts and content creators who use BMTC buses daily. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or officially connected to the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) or the Government of Karnataka. We are an independent fan-site and informational resource.
Our Content Sources
All bus route information on this site is compiled from publicly available sources:
- The official BMTC website and the Namma BMTC mobile app
- The community-maintained BMTC open transit dataset (published under the Open Database License)
- On-ground observation and rider submissions
- Google Maps transit data
We update our content regularly, but bus routes, timings and fares can change without notice. Always verify critical information via the official BMTC app or website before travelling.
